Create Windows 7/Vista Installation Disk with DVD/USB Flash Drive

A Windows 7 Installation DVD or USB are very useful for repairing computers. I wanted to show you guys how to create your own Windows 7 installation disc with DVD or USB flash drive with the help of Windows USB/DVD Download Tool. If you want to create a Windows 10/8 installation media, read this tutorial.

Firstly, you need to do the following tips.

1. Backup the data of your DVD or USB flash drive because it will be erased.

2. Go to Microsoft website and download the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool:

3. Go to Microsoft site and download the Windows 7 ISO Image (It requires your Windows 7 product key to download):

4. If you want to make a Windows 7 installation DVD, make sure that there is a DVD-ROM in your computer.

Once the downloads complete, install Windows USB/DVD Download Tool and then follow the steps given bellow to create a Windows 7 installation media with DVD or USB flash drive.

1. Click the Windows START button, and click WINDOWS USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL in the ALL PROGRAMS list to open the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool.

2. In the SOURCE FILE box, type the name and path of your Windows ISO file, or click BROWSE and select the file from the OPEN dialog box. Click NEXT.

3. Select USB DEVICE to create a copy on a USB flash drive or select DVD disk to create a copy on a DVD disk.

4. If you are copying the file to a USB flash drive, select your USB device in the drop-down list and click BEGIN COPYING.

If you are copying the file up to a DVD, click BEGIN BURNING.

5. The burning progress will take you about 30 minutes. Once it completes, remove your DVD/USB flash drive.
