If you have a Windows 8 installation disk, now follow the steps bellow.

1. Insert your Windows 8 installation disk(CD, DVD, USB) into the computer. Restart the computer to boot from the disk. You may need to set the computer to boot from CD, DVD or USB. Refer to the step-by-step guide.

2. After the computer boots from your disk, it will load Windows 8 install screen. Select right language (select English) and other preferences and then click “Next”.

3. In next screen, select “Repair your computer”.

4. Select “Troubleshoot”.

5. In troubleshoot screen, select “Advanced options”.

6. Next, select “Command Prompt”.

7. In the command window, type the following commands and press “Enter” key after each command.

1) d:

2) cd windows

3) cd system32

4) ren utilman.exe utiman_bak.exe

5) copy cmd.exe utilman.exe

6) wpeutil reboot (remove your disk firstly)

8. After that, the computer will restart automatically. Once Windows 8 login screen appears, click “Ease of access” icon to run Utilman.exe.

9. Utilman window is open, type “net user” and then press “Enter”. All local user accounts in your Windows 8 will be displayed.

10. If you’d like to reset administrator password, just type “net user Administrator 123456” and then press “Enter” key. The administrator password will be replaced with 123456.

11. Now close the Utilman window and then you are able to log into Windows 8 with the new password.
