How to Reset Forgotten Windows 2000 Admin Password
If you are still using Windows 2000 and forgot administrator password, this tutorial will help you a lot. It describes how to reset a forgotten Windows 2000 administrator password without losing files. All you need is using Windows Password Rescuer Personal to create a Windows password recovery disk on a computer which you have access to. Then use the disk to reset Windows 2000 user accounts password on your locked computer.

Step 1: Download and install "Windows Password Rescuer Personal" full version on "another computer".

1. Insert a blank CD/DVD or plug in a USB flash drive to your computer. Choose CD/DVD or USB Device option.
2. Select the CD/DVD or USB drive name, click Begin Burning to start burning. After successfully complete burning. Transfer it to your "locked computer" to reset Windows password.
Step 2: Insert the Windows password recovery disk to your locked computer, set the computer boot from the disk.

When you save the new setting, your computer will restart automatically and boot from the recovery disk.
Step 3: Reset Windows 2000 administrator and user password on a friendly interface.
After booting from CD/DVD or USB, Windows Password Rescuer Personal will start automatically and display a friendly interface.
1. All user accounts of Windows 2000 will be displayed. Select a user account that you want to reset its password.
2. Click Reset Password button, when a confirm message pops up, click Yes to confirm.
The administrator password has been removed and show blank.
4. Click Reboot. When a confirm message appears, remove your Windows password recovery disk first, and then click Yes. You computer will restart and then you can login administrator without password. Data in your computer won't be lost!
You also can click Add User button to add new admin account to your Windows 2000 easily. After restarting you can login that user on your computer.
